Introducing THIS2, two best friends and individual musical talents brought together as one captivating pop duo. Based in Nashville by way of Dallas, TX, Evan Carr and Preston Eggert united in 2022 to form THIS2.

Preston recently graduated from prestigious Belmont University honing his skills in filmmaking and deepening his knowledge of music theory and production. His creativity can be seen in the short films he shares on the band’s social media profiles where he combines his love for music with the storytelling crafts of photography and videography.

Evan, a skilled musician and former competitive MMA fighter, discovered his passion for music while using it as a therapeutic outlet to express his emotions. Evan's background in MMA not only adds an intriguing layer to THIS2's narrative but also reflects his relentless pursuit of competitive excellence that instills in him the determination to push boundaries in his music career.

THIS2 draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical influences. Evan finds resonance in the energetic rock anthems of Journey and Panic! At The Disco, and the soulful sounds of Ed Sheeran and Jason Mraz. Preston, on the other hand, is captivated by the cinematic arrangements of Jon Bellion and the infectious pop melodies of Maroon 5.
